Poet. Filmmaker. Vision.

Tres VRO, commonly known as VRO, The Poet (Vee Rodriguez) is rapper and filmmaker from Washington Heights, New York City whose work bridges the raw lyricism of hip-hop with the expansive visual world of cinema and graphic storytelling. Deeply influenced by the poetic narratives of artists like 2Pac, Big Pun and Nas, VRO has carved out a unique space where urban storytelling meets striking visual artistry. Beyond music, VRO has appeared in several independent films and continues to produce and direct films inspired by his own poetry. His award-winning documentary, LOOK AT US NOW: A COMIC BOOK MOVIE, has screened at over 60 film festivals worldwide, cementing his reputation as a multidisciplinary artist who transforms personal narrative and pop-culture passion into powerful, globally resonant work. His latest film, CONCRETE: a poem (the film), is also making its way into the festival circuit. VRO's ultimate synthesis of his musical and visual talents is Death Row Poetry. Created to highlight the profound literary depth of the “unfadeable” Death Row Records, the project boldly reimagines one of the most infamous labels in music history. This dedication to honoring the lyrical legacy of Death Row Records reached a cultural milestone when Death Row Poetry received the official approval of Snoop Dogg himself. Earning the blessing of the West Coast legend not only validated VRO’s vision but cemented Death Row Poetry as an official subdivision of Death Row Records, featuring new music, film and live events, with Tres VRO serving as artist and founder.
