Welcome to my world

Thank you for stopping by! Here is a bit about me: I’m originally from Haiti and have been living in the US for over 18 years in the Dmv area to be exact. Growing up, as a kid I’ve always wanted to be an artist. It all started when my grandfather gave me a guitar. Of course I was always on the streets. So I didn’t give myself time to learn how to play, yet I’m still learning how to play til this day, I’ll get better one day. Grew up from a third world country we didn’t have much to look forward to. So I found myself skipping through radio stations from my mother’s radio whenever I was depressed, whenever the electricity came on. I remember using a cassette tape just to quickly record some of the songs from the 80’s 90’s that came on the radio. Of course I didn’t know much English at the time. Still, I found myself mumbling, singing and rapping my butt off. Then we moved to the capital of Haiti (PAP)where life was a little better. I started going to more concerts, shows and was able to watch more tv. Shortly after I traveled to the us in the early 2000’s. I started writing music but I never got a chance to record. I have lost several books of rhymes when moving from apartments to apartments. That didn’t stop me, I kept on pushing. I found a friend who was making beats so I learned from him. Started recording in my early 20’s but I lost touch with music shortly after my father left. Of course I had no one to motivate me, due to the fact my family is very religious. They didn’t like that style of music of course, so there was not any support. I decided to go to trade school and got my cdl to fund my music career. That’s where I got the name Trucky. Started buying equipment and learning about recording. Now I have a home studio. Although it’s not much but I make it work. I record my songs, produce them. Sometimes I purchase beats and get help from really great producers. I’m in my 30’s but I never gave up on my dreams. I make music for those going through a hard time. I’ve struggled for a while, because I had to get everything on my own. But life is getting better now. Would have been more progressive with making music but hard times hit. Trust me when I say I know what you’re going through. Never let that stop you from pursuing your dreams. Please take time to listen to my music, spread the love. Like share and subscribe. I’m an artist, I write, produce and take pride of my work. Thank you and have a blessed day
