Thelma Stubbs-Mitchell

Thelma Stubbs-Mitchell is a multi-talented singer and songwriter with an amazing range of vocal styles. From Jazz to Blues, R & B and American Classics, Thelma can handle it all. Thelma is the younger sister of legendary singer Levi Stubbs of the Four Tops and Joe Stubbs of the Falcons and The Contours. Along with her four nieces, The Stubbs Girls, Thelma has been keeping the family legacy alive by performing as the opening act for The Four Tops and The Temptations. She has performed for the Teddy Riley Show featuring Faith Evans in Las Vegas as well as The Tropicana Hotel. Harmonizing with her big brother, Levi Stubbs, in concert at the Hilton Vegas brought tears to the eyes of an audience of more than 2000. Thelma puts her soulful spin on classics from such artists as Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Sam Cooke, BB King and a host of Motown’s Greats. Thelma has received many outstanding awards from the City Council of Detroit, MI along with recognition from the Mayor of Baltimore, Maryland for her remarkable performance. Her most recent venture is writing an in-depth memoir about her life growing up with two iconic musical brothers, Joe and Levi Stubbs as well as her cousins Little Willie John and Jackie “Sonny” Wilson. Thelma’s current project is a blues song titled “Fillmore Slim” which is based on a true story about Clarence “Fillmore Slim” Sims, a blues singer and guitarist who became a legendary pimp in the 1960’s and 70’s. The song is produced by Cavare’ Productions. Her soulful blues vibe is sure to leave listeners wanting more.
