BumpyTheGreat is a Producer, based in Brooklyn, NY. Under his previous moniker Bumpy Johnson, he established himself as a versatile and innovative artist capable of making hits in several different genres. Now, he is reinventing himself as part of a new wave of artists set to redefine the sound of modern music. Bumpy was born in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Growing up in the birthplace of hip-hop, he fell in love with classic east coast artists like Biggie and Jay-Z. As Bumpy came of age, he took an interest in production and quickly became obsessed with creating his own unique sound, absorbing everything he heard from pop and R&B to vintage soul. Word of his production prowess spread quickly, and before long, he had become one of the most sought after producers in the borough. In 2004, Bumpy began a prolific run in which he released several mixtapes, singles, and full lengths. Thanks to his business oriented approach, he was able to turn himself into a one man record company, capable of consistently generating top quality material. In 2020, he took a major artistic step with the release of his 4 Alarm Blaze. Since then, he has been steadily growing in stature and working with an ever expanding list of New York’s top talent.
