808 Carter

Timothy Huang, better known as 808 Carter, has found an interest in hip-hop from an early age. He initially attended community college for business before dropping out to find success on his own. Growing up, Carter moved all over Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. He then expanded out to Florida before gravitating back to Philadelphia to start up his own studio - Section 808 Studios in Chinatown. He has worked with a number of producers, engineers, and artists who come to exchange knowledge and creativity at his studio until he realized he wanted to focus more on his solo career. In 2019, he met artist, Ionika, joined Generation Wavy as a co-founder, and is now focusing on releasing solo records under his own name rather than working behind the board. His style can be defined as dark, heavy-hitting trap, with a twist of R&B and punk. All in all, he is a solid and versatile creator. He wants to make music that tells his story, explain his life experiences, as well as relatable vibes that are easy to sing along to. Aside from being an artist, his passion also stems to helping others that have potential to elevate their knowledge and skills.
