Yoshio, real name Brandon Yoshio Kam is a 22 year old artist from Kent, Washington. He is a former College Student Athlete from Saint Martin's University. During his Sophomore year he started freestyling with friends and teammates. Realizing that he had talent, he started making music with beats made by friends or beats from youtube.
Having grown up in the Pacific Northwest, there wasn’t a lot of artist for Yoshio to listen to and be inspired by. That didn’t stop him from listening to more popular artists such as Drake, Dom Kennedy, and many more.
“Music has always been a therapeutic solution for my mental health. I really enjoy creating and sharing love for music with people that I care about. I tend to see a lot of myself in other people, so I want my music to relate to them.”
Through his first four singles, you can tell his music is a chill serene ambiance supported with melodic beats and chic verses. His music makes you feel like you’re with your friends enjoying life and getting money. Yoshio isn’t just about that though, you can see he takes his craft seriously and wants you to learn more and just relax and listen.
