SBJ DON’s story starts in Indianapolis, Indiana, but truly begins when he moved to Georgia shortly after turning 11. It was there that he fell in love with both the state and with music, beginning a journey shaped by deep determination, family challenges, and unbreakable faith. Raised by a single mom, SBJ DON learned early about perseverance. His father stepping out of the picture brought its own hardships, but music became his outlet—helping him process and push forward. By 18, while living in Bremen, GA, SBJ DON made another bold move: joining the active Army, where he served for four and a half years. After his service, life threw fresh obstacles his way—struggles with jobs and finances were real, but his love for music never wavered. A turning point came when he became a fully surrendered follower of Christ. Embracing his new purpose, he rebranded from "W2S JAY" to "SBJ DON," meaning “Saved by Jesus Don.” With this transformation, his music and his message took on a fearless authenticity—celebrating growth, faith, and hope. SBJ DON loves like Christ and lives by the belief that, no matter where you start, you’re never powerless to change your path. He openly shares his story as both a reminder of where he’s been and a testament to never giving up, trusting that with God guiding his journey, he can do all things.
