MikeNice

MikeNice is a rising independent Artist out of the Bronx, NY, whose unique blend of Hip Hop and Afrobeats is beginning to make waves. Drawing on his family's Ghanaian roots and the ups and downs of growing up in the Bronx, MikeNice presents listeners with a captivating hybrid of the American rap and African-dancehall genres that is equal parts foreign, familiar, and fun. Drawing on inspiration and studying the business practices of American artists like Michael Jackson and Kanye West, as well as Ghanaian artists like Shatta Wale, MikeNice began honing his sound in 2017 before releasing his debut, "Feeling Your Vibe" - which was warmly received on SoundCloud and social media. From there, he was hooked on creating music. He soon formed the brand, "GyeWoDin," which translates to "Claim your Name" - a reminder to the younger generation to always strive to be the best version of themselves. MikeNice has always placed an emphasis on learning the business side of music in addition to the creative, and prides himself on moving smart. In 2019, he was nominated for Best New Artist at the Ghana Entertainment Awards USA 2019. Despite not winning the title, this recognition brought many new fans to MikeNice and the GyeWoDin movement and lit a new fire to create. Shortly after, he followed up on his newfound traction with the well-received, Give Me Love The EP. It's safe to say that MikeNice is gaining momentum and creating a lane all to himself.
