The adversities faced by many New York city natives, coupled with a continuous hustle and an affinity for the finer things in life; produced the rap maven we've been introduced to as Hollyhood Dice. Formerly known as Dice da Playboy, the Brooklyn rapper has been drawing us into his world with his high energy production, paired with playful punchlines since 2016. Hollyhood Dice began honing his skills by battling peers in the school cafeteria, recording original freestyles on a tape recorder and performing it around the neighborhood for friends and family. The passion developed into performing at local events and selling mixtapes; deepening his love for the stage, the creative process and the business of music. This eventually culminated into the formation of the rap crew known as GRQ. Continuing to work his way through the ranks Hollyhood Dice has opened up for Red Cafe, Honey Cocaine, Handsome Balla, Young Ma, Phresher, Flip Dinero, and Smoke Dza among others. Hollyhood Dice has released three mixtapes - "In Due Time" "Play Play Music", "Play Play 2" and various freestyles over the years. Notably, "In Due Time" received a platinum plaque on Datpiff.com. Having been influenced by the likes of Kanye West, 50 Cent, Camron, Lil Wayne, Future, and Cassidy; Hollyhood Dice intends to leave his mark, much like the lyrical greats that came before him utilizing his natural grit, humor and personal experiences to create vivid imagery that leaves you with no doubt in your mind that he will accomplish just that.
