Born Jameal Pullins, the Jacksonville Florida native also known as MDRD(MealDaRealDeal) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, actor, model, and businessman. Inspired by his mother’s career in fashion and a local artist Vada V his older brother. The young MDRD started rapping and recording in 2007. Being cultivated by his brother and street mentality. MDRD known at the time as “Trick P” formed a rap label Pose to be Music. In that camp were several other artist Ael P, Rambo Rambezzy, Boonie G, and Lil Von. The main focus In the music was heavy drug references and derogatory slang. At the time it was all MDRD had ever known but he developed a way to be creative yet street infused. Shining a spotlight on his gritty and violent upbringing, MEALDAREALDEAL displayed a talent for wordy bars, combining the spirits of contemporaries like Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane. Finding inspirations by artist such as Drake, Future , PARTYNEXTDOOR and several others. MDRD has and still is finally discovering his own direction. MDRD developed his own introspective rap style, with a twist of R&B , and a gold-touch for songwriting, whilst still keeping that street grit. MDRD wishes to end with this quote “Whats to come has yet to be written, whats to be done is yet to be determined”. MDRD has since released his first Single “Model Girl” Dec 6, 2019 and freestyle “Pose to be Music” Nov. 2019.
