Mic Familiar

Mic Familiar is a hip hop artist and self taught music producer based out of The Garden State. What initially started out as basement cassette recordings, edgy poems, and freeverse would culminate into something larger he could ever imagine. Accompanying his eerie production style are various themes of neuroses, identity politics, isolation, depression and existentialism. 
Since his inception he has gone on on greater things. He's even opened for touring artists like Talib Kweli and R.A. The Rugged Man. Whether at an open mic or in a cypher Mic Familiar wishes to engage with you as a friend, listener and observer. “With every layer/production I strive to give each disembodied voice within my subconscious a home or method of affecting the reality around me.
