NAME: TONY MAYS STAGE NAME: TONY MFKN MAZE BIO Tony Mfkn Maze is a Hip Hop/Rap Artist and Song Writer from St. Louis Missouri. Born Antonio Mays he was pulled to the world of music at an early age, finding it as a stimulating and positive form of expression and a way for others to relate to him. He first entered the industry under the pseudonym “Lizzo”, during this time he strived to perfect his craft working with mentors such as Pure of PD Waxx Records. Tony was later signed to Black Pearl Records under the pseudonym Smooth R. this provided him with an opportunity to develop his writing skills working to become one of the top youth prospects during 95’-96’ at Rap-A-Lot Records. In 1988 Tony began a new journey in his career joining the Black Lion Music team working with Producer Rodney Thomas AKA Harzyote Jubei under the name Lex Luchi, at this time he became fully aware of his musical talents and impact on the masses. While working on his debut album, continuing his mentorship with Pure provided Tony with the opportunity to work with artists such as Young Bloods, 8 Ball & MJG and Ghost Face Killah while completing the Black Eye Compilation Album and continuing work on his album. In 2004 AM Bull Ent. was born debuting Pure as it's premier artist providing Tony a feature on one of the album's most well-known songs "GUTZ" and countless other tracks thereafter. Keeping the team in mind Tony later signs with HotStyle Music Group & Slang Lords Ent. getting his name, rep, and street credit as one of the hottest MC's unknown to the new industry. Ruff Ryda Records invited Tony to New York for a nation-wide battle at their central studio where he advances to the semi-finals top 14 which lead to offers from the Ruff Ryda camp to perform at various events. Now with plenty of newspaper pub., shows, and long stressful sleepless nights in the studio.
