About

Matthew “Wattson” Watford is an Independent Hip-Hop Artist from Cayce-West Columbia, South Carolina. Since 2010, Wattson has been nothing less than a passionately, dedicated member of the Hip-Hop Community. Previously operating as “Lil Murda” at the age of 14 years old; Wattson formed his first Hip-Hop Collective known as “803 Mafia Productions”. Between 2010 and 2012, Wattson performed hundreds of concerts across his home state to crowds of 20-2,000 people. In 2012, while working closely with Mentor and close friend Lawrence “Traevon Martyr” Colman and “Tha Steam Squad”; Lil Murda became “Wattson”. This chain of events unknowingly was a complete turning point in his Music Career. In 2013, Wattson joined forces with Arthur “DC Zoe” Bush and Mike “Billy Da Kidd” Thomas as the third member of the “803 Outlaws”. Soon after, Wattson was introduced to “Boondok Family”; a monstrous hip-hop powerhouse hosting a large variety of hip-hop artist, DJ’s, promoters, and more in Columbia, South Carolina. Following an abundance of live performances across the state to include concerts with “Pastor Troy” & “Big Sam” of the “Eastside Boys” and many other great opportunities, Wattson became a father in 2013 to his first son. In 2015, Wattson married his best friend and soul mate months after the birth of their second child; a baby girl. Between working Full Time, filling his role as a Father in the death grips of Poverty; Wattson continued to chase his dreams as time & finances permitted. In 2016, Wattson began to slip away from his passion into a 4 year separation from his Music Career. In November of 2020, crawling out of a 2 year stretch of Chronic Depression; Wattson releases his Debut Single “Family Man” across all platforms in over 300 Countries. Month after month, Wattson released a song per month & by the power of God reconnected with “Traevon Martyr” and the “803 Outlaws”. In April, 2021 driven by his first interaction with God, Matthew “Wattson” Watford established an Independent Record Label; “Watford Records LLC”. With a roster compiled of the realest Hip-Hop Artist the state of South Carolina has to offer, Watford Records is destined and determined to change the world in the most immense ways. Including, Traevon Martyr, DC Zoe, Billy Da Kidd, Ezra Adkinz, Hosea Harris, 803 Outlaws, Plague Doctors, & Wattson himself, Watford Records was created to bring opportunity to those closest and continuously loyal to him throughout his career.
