ESPN XFL Season Anthem 'BigXFL' by BigXthaPlug ft. Oompa
Texas rapper and UnitedMasters Partner Artist BigXthaPlug teamed up with ESPN to create a custom anthem for the inaugural XFL season. The anthem features BigX rapping about the struggle to win and representing your city—core themes on which the league was founded. The song was inspired by BigX's own experience playing football. ESPN utilized the track across various digital platforms throughout the 2023 regular and post-seasons, as well as in promotional videos for the inaugural championship game.
Miette Hope is a singer-songwriter, producer, and Berklee College of Music graduate based in Brooklyn, NY. AT&T '5G Helmet' Amira Unplugged - "The Sound of Silence" (Simon & Garfunkel cover)
A third-generation African-American and Muslim woman, Amira Unplugged spent her formative years listening to music with her father, who was always writing music. She discovered her own love for songwriting and eventually joined a band, which was a huge factor in launching her on a musical path. Amira’s sound is a hybrid of soul, rock, and hip-hop. She does her best to create a “lightning in a bottle moment” with every song, with the intention of motivating people to get through their day by reaffirming that everything is going to be alright. Amira was also a contestant on “Becoming A Popstar” co-produced by Pepsi, MTV and TikTok. In 2024, Amira became the face of AT&T's award-winning 5G Helmet campaign after recording a breathtaking of Simon & Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence." Amira elevated the campaign by leaning into her own identity as a member of the hard-of-hearing community herself, adding an additional layer of authenticity to a story about groundbreaking technology.
